These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of TalkAround, marketed on the App Store as Translathor: Your Translator (the “App”), provided by Salty Pistachio Ltd (“Salty Pistachio”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Using the App
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for lawful personal or business communication. You must not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell, misuse, disrupt, or attempt unauthorised access to the App or its services, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Translations and acceptable use
Machine translations can contain errors or omit context. Do not rely on the App as the sole source for medical, legal, safety-critical, emergency, or other high-stakes decisions. You are responsible for reviewing translations and for the content you submit. You must not use the App to violate law, intellectual-property rights, privacy rights, or the rights of others.
Free and Premium features
The free version includes text and voice translation for a limited language selection. A TalkAround Premium subscription unlocks camera translation, favorites, PDF export, the complete language catalog, and font and background customization. Feature availability may change as we improve the App, but we will not charge you without clearly presenting the price and purchase terms.
Subscriptions
Monthly and annual subscriptions are sold through Apple’s App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings. Prices, taxes, trials, refunds, and billing are governed by the terms shown by Apple at purchase and Apple’s applicable policies.
Third-party services and connectivity
Online translation depends on internet access and third-party services, including Apple services and Google Cloud Translation. Their own terms and privacy policies may apply. Your carrier or internet provider may charge for data, including roaming data. Offline essential phrases are limited and are not a complete machine-translation service.
Intellectual property
The App, branding, software, and related intellectual-property rights belong to Salty Pistachio or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. You retain rights in content you submit and grant us only the rights needed to process it and provide the requested service.
Availability, updates, and termination
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the App where reasonably necessary. Device, operating-system, network, or provider changes may affect availability. We may suspend access for serious misuse. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it and cancelling any active subscription through Apple.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available” without guarantees that translations will be complete, accurate, or uninterrupted. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, Salty Pistachio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on a translation, loss of connectivity, or third-party services.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their home country. The courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction where permitted by law.
