Mock Tutor Terms of Use

Mock Tutor is provided by The Salty Pistachio LTD. These terms cover our tutoring service alongside Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. A parent or adult carer must set up and supervise a child’s use and manage any purchase.
Educational practice
Mock Tutor offers timed practice tests, creative-writing tasks, paper reviews and AI voice tutoring. It is an educational aid, not a human teacher or official examination service. AI can misread work or produce inaccurate answers. Check important feedback with an adult or teacher. We do not guarantee grades, admission, examination success or that our exercises exactly match an examination board or school. Mock Tutor is not affiliated with Parmiter’s School, examination boards or practice-book publishers.
Ten-minute trial
Eligible Apple Accounts receive one free allowance of ten minutes of tutor-session time, tracked using Apple’s verified app-download identity. No payment is required to start, and the trial does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. Time is measured by our service from opening a tutor connection until it ends. Unused time from a normally ended session remains available; a session that cannot report its end may use its remaining reserved time. Reinstallation or deleting local data does not create another trial.
Monthly subscription
Mock Tutor Monthly costs £19.99 per month in the UK, with local prices displayed by the App Store in other countries. The price shown in Apple’s purchase confirmation governs your purchase. The subscription provides continued AI tutoring and guided reviews while active. It covers one Apple Account and one simultaneous tutor session. Saved local tests, writing and results remain accessible when tutoring access ends.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription automatically renews for another month unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge for renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. There is no annual commitment. Manage or cancel through your Apple Account’s subscription settings; Restore Purchases in the app restores eligible access.
Cancelling renewal does not end the time already paid for. Access continues until the verified expiry date, including any billing grace period Apple grants. After expiry, revocation, refund or other loss of entitlement, paid tutor access ends. An internet connection and successful Apple/server verification are required. Refund requests are handled through Apple, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Responsible use
Use the service for personal educational practice. Do not share or automate an account, bypass usage or entitlement checks, interfere with the service, or upload material you are not entitled to use. Do not send unnecessary identifying information about a child or other person. You keep ownership of your writing and other original submissions and permit the processing needed to provide the features you request, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability and your rights
Features depend on internet connectivity, Apple and AI service availability. Sessions may need to reconnect. We may make reasonable changes or suspend access to address misuse, security incidents or service failures. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, or removes your statutory consumer rights. Where a service change materially affects a paid entitlement, applicable consumer remedies remain available.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without depriving consumers elsewhere of mandatory protections or rights to bring proceedings in their home jurisdiction.
