Travel Ready Privacy Policy

Travel Ready is provided by The Salty Pistachio LTD. This policy applies to the Travel Ready mobile app.
Information we process
Depending on how you use the app, we process:
- an account identifier and, if you choose email sign-in, your email address;
- household and traveller details you enter, such as display names and ages;
- trip information, including destinations, dates, transport, accommodation, baggage and activities;
- checklist items, completion state, quantities, assignments and saved packing preferences; and
- basic technical records needed for security, synchronisation and service reliability.
We do not use Travel Ready to collect payment-card details, precise live location, contacts, photos or advertising identifiers.
How we use information
- to provide, personalise and synchronise your checklists;
- to generate relevant checklist suggestions;
- to secure, maintain and troubleshoot the service;
- to respond when you contact support; and
- to comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
AI-assisted suggestions
Travel Ready may send a generalised trip profile to OpenAI to suggest checklist gaps. This profile can include the destination country, time of year, trip duration, travel types, activities, baggage choices, age bands and existing checklist items. It is designed not to include traveller names, exact dates or direct account identifiers. Requests are sent with API storage disabled.
Service providers
We use carefully selected providers to operate the app, including Supabase for authentication, database and synchronisation services, OpenAI for AI-assisted checklist suggestions, and Apple or Google for app distribution and platform services. They process information on our behalf or under their own applicable terms.
Sharing and selling
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-app advertising. We may disclose information where required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate safeguards.
Storage and security
Core app data is stored on your device and may be synchronised to our cloud service. We use access controls, encrypted connections and database protections designed to keep each account’s data separate. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention and deletion
We keep account and trip data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account and associated cloud data from Profile in the app. Limited records may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or dispute resolution.
Children
Travel Ready is a household planning tool for adults. It is not directed to children, and children should not create their own accounts. An adult may enter limited traveller information, such as a child’s display name and age, to receive age-appropriate packing suggestions.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of personal information, and to receive a portable copy. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app develops or the law changes. We will post the current version here and revise the effective date.
